Day 5, 6/6/10, Finish Segment 5

Up at 5a from rain falling on our foreheads. No, there wasn't a leak in the tent, it was from condensation. Warm, moist air inside the tent was hitting the cold shell, condensating, and then falling on the occupants inside.
Morning coffee never tasted so good as it did on this cool mountain morning! Our morning beverage partnered with the sun now peaking into the meadow in which we were camped to warm on the inside as well as out.
We faced our biggest climb of the day right after oatmeal breakfast, and breaking camp. The climb to 10,000 feet at mile 10 rewarded us with amazing panoramic views valley west of Kenosha pass.
The 14.4 miles of Segment 5 were concluded at 12:40p on this day. Our Sherpa met us on the last downhill of the trail, and accompanied us to the trailhead and the car. End Day 5.
