This blog was created to serve as a clearinghouse of information. Specifically, it is to be a comprehensive resource for a very special adventure that involves a very special person. The very special person is a man who has walked this third rock from the sun for 70 years. But there is a part of this earth he hasn't walked, and it has been his long-held dream that one day he would.
The man's name is Lee, and the small portion of Creation he has longed to explore is The Colorado Trail. Lee wants to discover what awates every corner, and promises every mountaintop along this magnificent trail. And you are invited to share all, or a part, of this dream, this adventure, this Expedition: Colorado Trail with him.
The trail is 483 miles short (remember you are not the 70 year old in this scenario), and starts just southwest of Denver terminating in Durango. We are dividing the trail into sections, and offering the opportunity to hike the various sections alongside Lee. Including Our Hiker of Honor, the minimum number of hikers we need for each section is two (2), and there is no maximum. Friends, Family and Co-workers are the invitees. This is the Wild West so claim any section most appealing to you!
More details about the sections, logistics, emergency info., lodging and gear suggestions, will be forthcoming in later posts. All the posts will be archived for later reference. This initial post is to describe and enlist. Please use only first names when commenting so we can protect everyone's privacy. A link to my e-mail is provided on the side panel if we need to discuss personal information, or situtations.
Invitees are encouraged to use this forum to lend suggestions and expertise to this project at anytime. We are hoping that once the trip has begun sojourners will use this blog to memorialize their adventure as well.
